Blue House Music in the Classroom offers music enrichment and arts-integration in music for infants, toddlers, and PrK students. The program encourages healthy growth by finding natural connections between music and child development in language, motor skills, and cognition.
Program Goals & Offerings
It’s important to learn and make music for music’s sake but for early learners music also provides a natural connection to classroom learning goals. Blue House music classes offer opportunities for children to sing, dance, and play instruments while also exploring counting, number sense, colors, shapes, measurements, the natural world, and social emotional learning. What we offer:
Music Enrichment
Singing, chanting and rhyming, instrument play, purposeful movement, integration of learning subjects
Arts-Integrated Music Learning
Music enrichment + deeper connections to music with a focus on thinking in terms of patterning
School Concerts
Schoolwide music performance that can offer straight ahead music learning or cater to a particular theme: seasons, community, math, reading, etc.
